Storehouse Financial Management Services, LLC was founded in 2009 by Trevor and LaTonia Powers. Our mission at Storehouse is to build long term relationships with our clients and to provide quality accounting and tax services that help them create time freedom and build a foundation for financial success.

OUR VISION

The vision of Storehouse is founded in the biblical account of Joseph in Genesis Chapter 41.  Joseph used the talents naturally gifted to him by his creator to save an entire country, the surrounding nations and his family from ruin.  Entrepreneurs and seasoned business owners use their talents in the same way.  According to Entrepreneur.com small businesses create 75 percent of the new jobs in our economy and pay more than 44 percent of the nation’s private payroll.  They also generate more than 50 percent of the U.S. private gross domestic product.

Because small businesses are so vital to the owners, their families and their communities, it is important that they have a place to go where they can find personal and reliable service customized to meet their needs.  We work to create a space where they can offload the important, but often difficult and time-consuming tasks of keeping up with their financial accounting and tax obligations so they can use more of their time and headspace to grow their businesses.

Our commitment to business goes beyond the here and now.  We are looking toward creating a future where businesses can continue to thrive.  From the beginning Storehouse made a commitment to work in an environmentally friendly way.  This planet is our home, and we do what we can to keep it healthy.  We accomplish this by using as little paper as possible.  We encourage our clients to use paperless methods of transferring information whenever possible using our online portals and document storage.

OUR STAFF

LaTonia has a master’s degree in accounting.  She is a QuickBooks Pro Advisor and is also an Enrolled Agent permitted to practice before the Internal Revenue Service.  Prior to opening Storehouse, she spent 10 years working for a financial services company where she gained the processional experience that enables her to work with the variety of businesses and individuals that make up the client roster for Storehouse Bookkeeping & Tax.

Trevor is an Alabama Guardsman.   He has been deployed to serve his county in Iraq and Afghanistan.  He also had the privilege of working on a communications team deployed to work President Barack Obama’s 1^st inauguration in 2009.  Trevor has facilitated several Financial Peace University courses and also has degrees from Calhoun Community College in Accounting and Family Financial Planning and a BSBA degree from Columbia University in Financial Services.
